Velospot
Velospot bietet ein bikesharing-System mit minimaler Stationsinfrastruktur an, das von der Stadt Biel zusammen mit regionalen Partner*innen entwickelt und ab Oktober 2010 in Biel getestet und seither betrieben wurde. Seit 2013 wird das System auch in weiteren Schweizer Städten angeboten. Gleichzeitig übergab die Stadt Biel die Vertriebsrechte an die Firma Intermobility AG. Im September 2016 präsentierte Intermobility ihr neues E-Bike.
Auch der Kanton Basel-Stadt hat sich im Frühjahr 2020 für das System von Velospot entschieden; das Netz wurde in Basel im September 2021 in Betrieb genommen.
Seit August 2022 sind PubliBike AG und Intermobility AG (Velospot) fusioniert und die beiden Bikesharing-Systeme Velospot und PubliBike können demnächst mit einem einzigen Abonnement genutzt werden. Weitere Informationen hier.
